The NEXT-ITS Coordination activity deals with all aspects of managing the project and is composed of four sub-activities; Project Coordination, Quality Management, Risk Management, and Project Evaluation.
Project coordination deals with practical project management issues. Focus is on internal and external reporting and internal project decision management.
The Quality management sub-activity’s purpose is to ensure that the project delivers in accordance with plan as regards technical content, time plan and budget. This includes various methods to monitor performance within the project and the provision of guidance and consensus formation when required.
Risk management deals with the development of a risk management plan, including identification of project risks and preparation of measures to mitigate the risks identified. The situation regarding risks will be continuously monitored by the project management.
The purpose of Project Evaluation is to establish a joint methodology for evaluation of measures within the project in order to assess their impact in relation to KPI´s for impact defined. Project Evaluation will also actively support the implementation of the methodology in the project and in its application. Project Evaluation will also contribute to pan-European development in the field as appropriate.
