On 14 November 2018 Cora van Nieuwenhuizen, Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, will open the bi-annual European conference on traffic management called ITS Forum 2018. She will be accompanied by Federica Polce – Coordinator of the Platform on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The 97th VIKING/NEXT-ITS PMB Meeting took place in Oslo on the 18th and 19th of February 2019. There was a strong representation from all participating countries and topics that were discussed included, among others, the Final report of NEXT-ITS 2, progress and monitoring of NEXT-ITS 3, and future topics to be included in the work of the Activity-groups.
The 98th VIKING/NEXT-ITS PMB Meeting took place in Stockholm on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2019. Topics that were handled included monitoring of NEXT-ITS 3 progress, communication of the project and the ongoing work on updating the ITS Deployment Guidelines. The PMB also said goodbye to Jonas Sundberg who is retiring.
The NEXT-ITS 3 Evaluation team has decided on a plan for a consolidated evaluation of the project. The Evaluation team has agreed on a framework and a methodology for the evaluation; the team has had its third working meeting in Hamburg in the beginning of May.
